R/V Pelagia June/July 2008

The videos below show footage from a baited lander (the stream of material coming out of the lander in the top video is sardine oil) stationed on the Hatton Bank in the NE Atlantic by the R/V Pelagia cruise of June/July 2008. The first one was filmed using visible light, the second with infra-red. This was to test if introducing light to the deep sea for filming affected the behaviour of the animals.
